Event Judges

 

All judges selected for W.A.R.A. approved sanctioned events are selected for their unquestionable knowledge of art principles.

All works of art will be judged on the Principles of Fine Art.

The Judges that have been selected for the Western Art Fall Shootout are:

Perry Stewart

Perry is an art professor at Utah Valley University. Born in Hailey, Idaho in 1959, Perry showed an early fascination for drawing and making pictures with his mother at his side encouraging him. He is an award-winning illustrator receiving recognition from the Society of Illustrators in New York and Los Angeles. He has been teaching figure drawing, painting and illustration courses at the University level for the past 22 years.

 Barbra L. Wardle

Barbra did her bachelor and masters degree work at Brigham Young University and her Doctorate work at the University of Utah in Leadership Administration. She has over 26 years teaching experience in many areas of fine art including sculpture, drawing, water color, ceramics, stained glass and more. She has taught at Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University, where she retired as director. Her main areas of expertise are sculpture and painting. Barbra also has seventeen years experience teaching color theory and recently returned from South Dakota where she taught painting and sculpture at a Leadership Academy.
